Salary Negotiation/Counter Offer Question
Hi all thanks for reading.
Long story short am a mechanical engineer at a startup. Had a fairly low starting salary for my area. Was promoted to level 2 after a year that came with a significant raise(+20%) but I still think I’m being slightly underpaid. Whats the overall consensus or advice on providing a job offer from another company and asking to be matched at or above?
Has this worked out smooth for you in the past? Or would I be at risk for burning bridges? What’s the best way to approach this or asking for more money due to long hours and tough work?
