Would a physics/math degree make me more hireable as a software developer or i’m just fine with my software engineering degree?

I’ve heard that people says that degrees aren’t important in this field but at the same time that a double degree would make you more hirable and stand out in the eyes of employers, right now i’m wondering if it’s worth it to go to college again and get a physics degree for that matter, i like the subject and i planned to learn about it anyways but now i’m wondering if not just studying it in my free time but getting the degree would make more hireable, thanks in advance!
