Getting my bachelors degree in software engineering, currently in my second year at college. Am I taking the right approach with college and getting a degree in this field? Please read description.

Getting my bachelors degree in computer science branching off to software engineering currently in my second year at community college. I want to work for Izotope or another related audio software company as a software engineer. I also want to build synthesizers for my occupation if I can. Nonetheless I’d love to get a career in software engineering if I can’t specifically work in an audio field and make good money. My question is, am I doing the right thing so far going to college to get this degree? I’m I going in the right direction? All help is appreciated, thank you.
