I had hyperemesis gravidarum when I was pregnant 11 years ago in University. I had only just started a few months when it happened and ended up dropping out as my then partner told me he would ensure we’re always financially stable. I’ve been a stay at home mom since then with 3 kids total now and I am so overwhelmed by figuring out what to do with my life. My ex became an abusive drunk, I am now on social assistance and trying to figure out the best course of action to become financially stable and self sufficient. I keep trying to brainstorm ideas of jobs or degrees yet nothing seems to fit, I don’t even know what job would suit me or where to begin. I worry about pursuing a degree that won’t prove beneficial once I’m done and I will be left jobless especially as we are going into a recession. Even the thought of making a resume is a joke because I have absolutely zero job experience. Can anyone offer advice on where I should begin? Careers that will always be in demand, that don’t require years of study and hefty tuition fees? A career in which I have options to figure out what suits me best?
