Can I transition to data analytics with a MS in Forestry?

I’m 28 with a BS in environmental science and a MS in forestry. Im currently working as an arborist specializing in disease management. It’s not what I want to do forever so I’m looking at other options.

My masters had some data work as I designed my own experiments and collected my own data for my thesis. My school used SAS for their data analysis so that’s what I learned.

My question is with my background is it possible to make this transition?
Also what resources are available to narrow down what niche of data analysis is best suited for me as its a diverse field?
My first starting point i was thinking about was learning more python. Any other input is greatly appreciated.
