When is a good time to start looking for new job?

And how to not feel guilty about it?

I worked compliance after graduating college. I was desperate and didn’t have any better offer. The job itself wasn’t bad and everyone at work has been extremely patient and understanding with me as a new joiner. However it’s just not what I have planned. Still, because of the amount of mistakes I’ve made, I don’t think I will be able to pass the probation period (I could just be pessimistic). So when is a good time to start looking for a new job? 2month in? 6 months in? A year? And how do you not feel guilty about it when everyone has been helpful and patient?
