A lot of forms asks to fill in your domain/industry/etc. I work in a tech company, not in techie position (i.e. engineering/programmer), but in a client-facing role (support/success/a bit of ops), so I’m having a hard time labeling my experience. I feel that if I mark something along the lines of tech/stem I mislead them. Does it make sense?
Likewise, it’s a fintech startup, so I hear some accounting terms quite frequently. Does it mean that I work in Finance? Is it fair to say so?
Is it more Tech or Finance? or something else, like, Support, as I don’t really feel as a professional in either of them.
Any thoughts?
