Do web developers make a good amount of money compared to computer programmers?

Which one makes more, or which is a better job to have? Im not too worried about how much I make in a career besides it being enough to survive; I just want to be able to live comfortably in California. Am I correct in saying Computer programming is more broad and you can be a web developer with computer programming education? And my main concern: Can you get into either of these with just an associates degree? (I’m looking into doing one of these associates programs but I don’t know if I will be able to go past my associates due to financial aid running out.) thanks for any info. I am interested in software development and web development and want to kickstart a career in such an industry without taking too much time in school. I am 25f and am just now getting an associates in communications in spring 23, but I don’t think it’s what I want to do career wise, so I would like to start an associates program in computer or web development! TIA!!
