I’ve recently started a new position at a local law firm. The law firm is fairly small with about 7 attorneys. This is my first time working as a paralegal after graduating with my associates. One of the attorneys I work for is quite difficult, you are never sure what to expect with him. He enjoys cussing, making rude comments about other people’s education levels and enjoys sharing his thoughts and feelings while ignoring yours. This afternoon in an attempt to lighten the mood I sent what I deemed to be a funny meme with a cute little baby on it in response to a email and was informed that the meme with the cute baby on it was “widely inappropriate”. This attorney has also informed me that he is smarter and more educated in a previous conversation. How do I deal with someone like this?
