With recent layoffs and a position change, what would you do?

This week has been crazy; my company recently laid off a significant number of employees. After they had finished with all the lay-offs, they followed up with a quick meeting related to the recent events. We were advised that they would re-organize the company and that some of the people still here may not hold the same position. The next day, our VP of Operations walks to my desk and advised on the floor of my position change. I’m going from a Workforce Analyst position and becoming a Trainer Administrator. He mentioned that this would be a lateral position change for me and provided me with a high level of my new responsibilities. End of the day I met with my new supervisor and gave her a little informal introduction of who I am, how long I’ve been with the company, and what I’ve learned since I’ve been here. Today I started training in my new position, finding out that this job holds much more responsibility than my previous one. I have not signed anything related to my position change yet, they are still working on completing all the “leaver tickets”. Since this position will require much more responsibility and time, should I expect a small bump in pay at a minimum? My concern is that since they had to cut labor costs, I won’t get anything from this. I know I will find out soon, but I’m impatient and want to be as prepared as possible. What would you all do in this situation?
