Hi All,
I would like to hear opinions and advice on how to transition to a new career in your mid fifties. I have spent my career in finance trading energy commodities (natural gas & oil). While it was a good run, I believe it is time to experience something new. I’m not ready to play golf or pickleball full time and I’m in search of something to keep me engaged.
The problem is that I have been an independent trader/investor for over 30 yrs. So, I really do not fit into certain job titles. My motivation is not driven financially, it is more of a desire to work with a team to accomplish a task/goal collectively.
Ideally, I would like to work in a small fintech startup. I’m searching in the NYC area.
Should I be trying to meet with head hunters?
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
