I’ve been exploring transition from a business career (15yrs) to academia, and pursuing an university teaching job (teaching business & management topics).I have a BBA and an MBA from a top university, and also thinking of doing a Phd. in few years.
Has anyone done this kind of transition especially in the UAE, i am based in Dubai, so any region specific advice would help?
What to expect, what are the steps/courses that I should take? I see even the junior assistant jobs require at least 3 years of teaching experience, but I don’t see what roles you could get to gain that experience here.
Anyone in academia already that can share any advice would be highly appreciated.
