How to break into hospital IT?

[ad_1]

I’ve been working in healthcare since 2018 in direct patient care. I’ve been interested in technology for a long time. My bachelors is in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems that I finished in June 2022. My Associates is in Medical Assisting I’ve spent 2020s to working in a covid clinic and now I work in a specialty clinic. I would like to switch to the hospital IT team weather that’s help desk or anything. I’m not sure how to start would getting the google IT Support or, Comp Tia A+ be enough or would I need more than that? What certs would you recommend? I definitely want to get my masters at some point since my undergrad GPA was good. My hospital does help with tuition reimbursement. I’m just not sure how to get my first tech role. Healthcare is a very humbling profession but I feel very burnt out. I could really just use some advice. What are my options?
