Lateral career move without knowing salary?

Hello,

I currently have a really good situation: fantastic manager and a good team. However, my team is in the process of being split up and the scope of my work for the future is relatively uncertain. I was offered a position on a brand new team that aligns with my career goals, but it doesn’t have a title yet. That is, I don’t know what to expect in terms of salary.

My question is this: does it make sense to accept the role even if I don’t know what the salary range is/if it’s around the same as my current role? My initial knee-jerk reaction is to take it, but I also received a very good performance review for last year, so I don’t know what (if any) kind of salary increase I’d get for my current role.
