I think I might want to stay a consultant. How do I make sure I have basic things and set myself up for success?

I’ve been converted to a company before but chose to leave. It was a great experience contracting but then once I was an employee, everything went down the drain of how I was treated.

I’m confused and leaning toward the fact that I don’t want to be part of a company. The benefits are hardly worth it in most companies.

I know I need individual health insurance, 401k saving, and maybe a few other things. How can I get this on my own and not through agencies?

Most contracts are 6mo + potential.
