Switching from construction management (finished first year) to accounting for a better work-life balance and better options on the long term?

I heard that accountants working less hours and are able to work from home. I feel bad about my decision to study construction management where people work 70 hours or more per week.. I think that if I want to change my career, I should do it now before it’s too late. My brother is a big 4 accountant at kpmg and he is working from home most of the week.. whats your opinions? Would be glad to here from accountants about salary and work life balance
