I’ve been in learning and development for the past 5 years, I’m an expert in all aspects of it. But I now hate it and don’t want to be branded as L&D my whole life. I’ve applied to a cool startup job where I’ll be managing the locals startup ecosystem, but I’m terrified as I have 0 experience in this field, I’m still not sure why they offered the job. The CEO told me that I’m the perceft fit since I’m very social and can build community. But I’m going to be doing it alone, and I’m the only employee in my country (all are internationals and managing their respective countries’ clients).
I’m having major imposter syndrome and want to withdraw my acceptance and just stay in my current L&D job.
Am I crazy for taking this job?
