Which Major should I pick?

[ad_1]

A quick backstory. I am 27 and have managed to work my way into a business/finance manager position at an automotive dealership group. I Enjoy the work, but have also considered moving into the banking world in the future. I also have served nine years in the army national guard because of this; I have credits that i can transfer towards a bachelors and will not have to pay out of pocket for the degree.

Here’s my dilemma. I initially called one of my local universities to begin the process of getting a major in finance. The advisor has brought to my attention that if I get a bachelors in organizational management, instead of finance, I will get 95/180 credits required for a bachelors automatically because of stuff I have completed while in the Army. This means I could have a bachelors in 2 years. when considering a bachelors in finance, my military service will only account for 25/198 of the credit required.

Which major should I choose? How important is the major to future employers?
