I have almost no psychological field experience. Can I be accepted into PsyD graduate programs for forensic psychology?

I graduated from college with a 3.45 overall GPA with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in business. My GPA, for the most part, trends upward. My senior year was my highest performing year (making the dean’s list).

However, I have almost no psychological field experience outside of my degree. Briefly after I graduated, I took a job at a behavioral psychology clinic working with mentally challenged kids. After only 2 months working there, my coworker and I discovered fraud so I quit. I did not try to work at another behavioral health clinic because I believe there are loopholes in the system and other clinics may also be committing fraud.

Now I have a serving job to pay the bills. Did I screw myself because I don’t have more psychological job experience? Applications for PsyD graduate school open next month and I believe I have ruined my chances.

I would love some input on my situation. Do I even bother applying this year?
