I was fired from my job because I accidentally sent a private message to a group chat. It was fairly innocuous, but I had had a disagreement a year earlier (again fairly innocuous) and I wasn’t the new President’s guy so I was canned. Co-workers who saw the message were stunned that I was fired for it. I am a high performer at the VP level so it is super embarrassing for me. What do I tell prospective employers?
