Anyone have advice on a career path in conservation?

I’ve spent the last several years as a social worker due to some health setbacks, but I’m finally ready at 40 to pursue my real passion; conservation/ranger work.

I’m enrolled in university and will spend the next 3 years studying – what is a job that is relevant to this field, doesn’t need experience and doesn’t pay peanuts?

Volunteering is out of the question due to a lack of time, unfortunately, as someone my age has bills to pay
