What path should I take to become a mortician in the state of Arkansas?

So I’m interested in becoming a mortician. Death has been a fascination of mine, not necessarily death itself but the body itself after death. So I guess the dead rather than death itself. My end goal is pathology, but I figured becoming a mortician would be the right step in that direction. But I’m at a loss. I am a high school graduate and that’s where my schooling ends. Arkansas State University (ASU) is the nearest college option for me, but I’m 21. Not really sure how to get into a funeral science class, what other classes are required on top of it, and how does one with no scholarships and at my age get into college to begin with? Or what other studies I should pursue beforehand? Anything helps, really, just to give me an idea.
