I work in tech currently and I need to submit two weeks notice today due to moving to other side of country due to COL. I was going to tell my higher up manager I currently report to during a meeting with him and what was going to be my middle manager between my current manager and me. This new middle manager just started this week and would be my manager going forward. Is there a standard practice on who I give notice to in situations like this? Technically I still report to the higher up manager according to org chart but the middle manager is technically the manager of my team now. I feel like I might be overthinking this but I thought I’d ask advice here.
