Received a substantial pay raise from a competing employer. I actually would prefer to stay with my current employer. Would I be wrong to show my job offer and request my current employer to place a bid? Or would this only make things messy, I wouldn’t want to burn a bridge in case I need another pay bump from job hopping in the future.
