I have been working professional for 10 years, but my experience has primarily been in finance and then in criminal justice. My role in criminal justice has a lot of technical writing and editing, and I also have been teaching at the university level – more writing, and editing of students academic papers. I am wanting to transition into publishing, but I don’t think I could intern as I do need to get paid enough to live. I am trying to apply to entry level positions but is there anything I can do to help my odds? Thanks!
