Should I accept this job offer?

Hey everyone,

Currently I work as a contractor. My contract expires in April in which they could either hire me on FT, renew it (it was originally a 2 yr contract), or ya know, deny it.

I make 76k a year with health insurance, dental, vision, and a 401k. But I don’t have a match and I have no PTO time.

I just got an offer for a FT position that’s similar to what I do now at a local credit union that’s been expanding into my city.

The offer is for a role similar to mine currently. It would be fully remote with all expenses paid if I need to travel to their headquarters and I would get my own office in one of the local branches. 66k salary with a 6% bonus at the end of the year, 401k with a 10% match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long term disability, 3 weeks of PTO plus 13 holidays, and they would pay for conferences, classes, webinars, etc.

My family and roommate think it would be a good opportunity. Currently I only spend half my monthly paycheck and put the rest into savings so I know I have some wriggle room to go down.

Currently, the majority of my coworkers started out as contractors and were eventually converted to FT. However with the current economic situation, I have no idea if or when that would happen if I stayed. If I got hired on FT, I would start out at the bottom and there is a lengthy review process to get promoted that a review board could deny even if your manager approves it.

Does this new opportunity sound like a good idea?
