I believe a year gap after graduation no job is killing my job prospects. Lie or take it off?

I have a degree in IT and I have a few certificates. So last year i I graduated in summer and did not get a job until a few months ago in september in my field.

I’m trying to find a better job and am applying a lot, I am in a contract role but I am not interested in staying after.

So what I did was fill the year gap with self employeed stuff, I managed the portfolios of other family members and traded, I managed for like 4 portfolios.

I have put this in my resume and put it as “Professional Development/Portfolio Manager” I did this at the request of people here and other subs.

For some reason, I feel like I am getting less replies than I did just leaving it blank?

Since I have my legit grad year (2021), and the 1 year gap of not working in a professional setting, should I change my grad year? I honestly don’t care anymore about being morally right. I really believe it’s screwing me over even though I am qualified for these entry level roles.

Or just take it off but then if I take off my grad date should I take off the professional development section that lasted a year.
