Is there an appropriate way to tell your employer “no”?

[ad_1]

My employer recently incorporated a tier progression system for personal at my level and is heavily pushing and encouraging everyone to progress through these tiers as quickly as possible.

However, the final tier would make the employee at my level a salaried member rather than non exempt hourly.

After several conversations and seeing first hand how a lot of the existing salaried members are treated, I’m no longer interested in pursuing this tier progression.

I have expressed my concerns with my direct leader, who still continues to push and try to persuade me into exploring this “amazing opportunity”, and does not seem to understand that I have no interest in this.

Is there possibly a better way to convey that I’m not interested in this other than just flat out saying “no”?
