Interior design career?

[ad_1]

So recently I have been developing a serious interest in interior design.

I have been in the joiner industry for the past 15 years, working in manufacturing, fitting and I’m currently heavy in CAD design and management. The more time I spend drafting construction drawings the more I wish I was more involved in the initial design of the space. I’m very passionate about design and have my own style. I do however have allot to learn when it comes to how spaces are used etc.

So I’m starting to think seriously about how I can transition into interior design, or even having my own studio one day.

I would appreciate any advice on whether this is a viable option for me and how to get there, or is this just a pipe dream?

(I’m a 33yo M)
